Smoking and Kids Don't Mix in North Kingstown

In an effort to reduce youth access and exposure to tobacco, the Project CREATE (Communities Responding, Enlisting, Advocating for Tobacco-control Education) sub-committee of the Working Together for Wellness Community Task Force in North Kingstown developed a community project. School age children had to design a sign based upon the message "Please Don't Smoke Around Kids, It's Not Healthy for Us". The winning designs were then posted around areas in town, including Wilson Park, McGinn Park, and the Town Beach, where children are often found in the company of adults.
