Saturday, January 8, 2000 - One Day Toward Freedom From Smoking - 12 noon to 4 p.m. At Warwick Mall. Health fair with cessation advice and exhibits. Includes blood pressure and cholesterol testing by St. Francis Cares Wellness Center. Sponsored by the Mall, WLKW Radio, Brooks Drug, and the American Lung Association of RI.

Monday, February 14, 2000 - Smoke-Free Class of 2000 Action Day Teen day to get out the message to decision-makers: "Be a sweetheart - Support tobacco prevention education programs. They work!"

Saturday, March 11, 2000 "Youth Lead" Conference - 10 - 3 p.m. The Youth Committee of the Woonsocket Task Force on Substance Abuse will hold its sixth annual ``Youth Lead'' conference at Woonsocket City Hall.. A video, ``Smoking: Truth or Dare,'' will be shown. Breakfast and lunch will be included. The conference is free.
